Hi Glenda, This is what I have on John Busby of Jackson co. Alabama. John Busby born 1757 Dobbs co. NC died 1840-1850 Jackson co. Ala wife unknown children known are 1.Thomas born abt 1809 Tenn. died ? 2.John born 1818 Jackson co. Ala died 1870-1880 Jackson co. Ala. married Jane Thornton abt 1849 Jackson co. Ala. Jane is widowed on the 1880 Jackson co. Ala census and has kids still at home John age 25 Ala. Sarah age 19 Ala. Linnie age 17 Ala. I found out where John Busby lived because in 1832 he applies for a revolutionary war pension and sais where he has lived his life but does not say anything about a wife or kids. He is living next to his brother Thomas in Jackson co. Ala. I think they probably moved to Alabama together in the 1810's. I have been trying to find out his kids and wife but there are not a lot of records in early Alabama and he had no will and I can't find a estate record either. Jeff Busby Boise, Idaho
