Does anybody know what a Maintance Bond is? I found a maintance bond in Jefferson co. Tenn. on January 18, 1809 for William Busby age 14 Miles Busby age 10 Sais "To be given 1 year of school and clothing and 1 decent suit of clothes and a good horse and saddle worth 60 dollars when 21 years old."
