He was born about 1808 in N.C. moved to Ga. with his parents Jeremiah & Margaret Busby as a child. He married Mirum Self and they had about 12 children. They moved first to Alabama and then to Arkansas . Jeremiah & Margaret moved from Ga. to Arkansas to be near their children. They died there. Jacob had a brother named Nathan, who owned a General store in Houston Co. When he had finicianal difficulties he followed his older brother , Jacob, first to Arkansas, then to Lousianna and later he moved to Gonzales County, Texas where many of his decendents live today. Jacob settled in Falls County on a 112 acre farm where he spent the rest of his life, dying in 1873 and his wife in 1875. He had a son named Nathan who was my great-great grandfather.
