Thanks for the info. I looked in the Montgomery Co 1860 census , and the only Busby I could find was a John from Ohio. Don't even know if that is any connection. Grandfather always said that he thought they originated in Tennessee. -----Original Message----- From: cj <earle@ncci.net> To: BUSBY-L@rootsweb.com <BUSBY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Monday, September 13, 1999 12:08 PM Subject: Harrison County Busby's >Hello, > >I am still looking for information regarding my great grandfather David Taylor Busby but I believe he was born in the south (Kentucky or farther). There is a Harold Busby who lives in the town where I do. I had talked to him and his family came from Jewett, Ohio, Harrison County. They have not done any research on their line but his great grandfather was Frank Dewayne Busby who died around 1982 or 83 at 90 yrs old. His wife was Bessie (Maffit) Busby. Harold's dad was Donald Busby born Oct 22, 1914 and died at age 49 in a car crash in Harrison County. He also mentioned a Glen and Duane Busby either brothers or uncles. They would be tickled pink to find out more about their line. Keep the info coming! >Also, there was a reunion last weekend in Columbus, Ohio for some Buzby descendants. Just thought I'd throw that in. >Until later, >Carolyn > > >==== BUSBY Mailing List ==== >RootsWeb Resource Cluster >http://resources.rootsweb.com/~clusters/surnames >Listowner: Barbara Peddicord mailto:nashoba@cdsnet.net > >
