I have 4 Benjamin Harper Busby's in my family tree. The eldest of the Bejamin Harper Busby's is my Great g-g-g-g-g grandfather Grand Father - died in St. eustatuis Netherland Antilles afer 1811 (my Great g-g-g-g-g grandfather) Father - born in 1811 died in St. Marteen. my Great g-g-g-g grandfather Grandson - born 1853 moved to Barbados married 1870.(my Great g-g-g uncle Great Grandson died 1882 at birth in Bermuda ( my Great g-g-uncle) I do not know where Benjamin Harper ( Grandfather) originated from. No records found in the Netherland Archives. I do that there were Busby and Harpers on the island in the mid and late 1700's. I assumed Ireland was the homeland but may not be. That assumption came to me because I read the Cromwell kicked commoners out of Ireland to the new world ( USA and Carribean) You mentioned War of 1812. Not sure how to figure that time frame into this. I am think the elderst Ben Harper. was already in the caribean and had a child born in 1795) I I do not know his exact death date. i use after 1811 becuase his youngest child ( Benjamin) was born in 1811. I will do some thinking when I get home Tracy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
