Our DNA matches exact on the 37 marker to the Ivy family of Jackson co., Al. with a 84% chance of a common ancestor within four generations. I have been looking for some time and have found nothing. The Busby/Busbee/Busbice-Ivey/Ivy/Ivie match is actually as great as 67/67 for some participants, so it's a certainty that one family line from each of the larger families has a common ancestor at some point in time. It's my personal guess that this point was in very early Virginia or Maryland, but it's still possible that it might have occurred in the Caribbean Islands or Western Europe. It won't be possible to sort this out until we find new participants with documented places of origin whose Y-DNA results match those we currently have.
