There is one line of Busby/Busbee/Busbice... whose paternal Y-DNA results are an EXACT match to those of one line of Ivey/Ivie/Ivy. The Haplogroup is E1b1a indicating an African ancestry, probably in the mid to late 1600s in Virginia/Maryland. Some of the Ivey/Ivie/Ivys in early Virginia were active in the slave trade. Contact me directly if anyone would like to discuss this relationship. jerry@jlivey.com -----Original Message----- From: busby-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:busby-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, March 10, 2010 2:51 PM To: BUSBY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BUSBY] Caribbean Busby Family - missing Pieces This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
