    3. In my earlier Hill rootsweb request for help searching for info on the above, the only names I had were Winford Bailey Hill and wife, Belle Hill. I have found additional information regarding their names and in hopes that this information might lead to other offers of help, I'm providing the following: I found Winford and Belle's grave sites at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Lincoln Co KY. The headstone clearly shows his name to be Winfred Bailey Hill. Belle's headstone shows her full name to be Nancy Belle Hill. Some of their children are also buried there. Hopefully, the headstones are mistake-free. My purpose in researching Winford/Winfred is to learn the names of his wife's parents. I believe the above Nancy Belle Hill to be Nancy Belle Jones, daughter of a Major Samuel Jones and Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Busby. Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann is later shown as Bettie/Betty on some records. They lived in the Hustonville, Lincoln Co KY area from at least 1860 on into the early 1900's. At least Elizabeth (Betty/Bettie) did; Samuel is believed to have died after 1880 and before 1900. If anyone can help me learn more about Major Samuel Jones and wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Busby, I would be very grateful. I have some data on Elizabeth but nothing except a name for Major Samuel Jones. The 1860 & 1870 census records list him as Major S Jones but I'm not sure if this is a military title or a given name. On the 1880 census, he appears as MEIGAN S Jones. I've never seen a name like that and suspect it is a transcription error. I've looked at this 1880 census and still can not make out the name. I've been unable to find ANY data on him; I've used both Major and Meigan S(Samuel) Jones as his name in my search. I've looked at the LDS site, Genforum, Ancestry, etc, but I've come up empty. Can anyone help me? Paula
