Hi Howard, Balaam Jacob Buzbee was married 27 Jul 1848 Jacksonville, Morgan Co. IL. Balaam was my Great grandfather. He was a Vet of the Civil War, Union side. I have his pension papers. His wife Catherine Bromley was the dau of Samuel and Sarah Potter Bromley. The parents remained there in Morgan Co. IL.. I don't understand how his marriage date could be listed in KS. The family however did settle in Jefferson Co. KS. Balaam J. died 27 Nov 1872 Ozawkie, Jefferson Co. KS.. Catherine Bromley's family can be found in The Bromley Genealogy by Viola Bromley, 1911.
