Check it out ! Dear all, It looks like someone on the list has a virus. This is a typical message from one of recent 'Email' viruses which works a bit like this (I'm not at work so I can't tell you the exact details)- or it's name. Someone receives an email with content as described in Lonna's message, and unlike Lonna they click on the attachment. This triggers the virus which Picks an address randomly from the users incoming email Picks the subject line from that message Sends emails carrying the above text and an attachment (with a name selected from a list of about 20) using the address 'Stolen' from the incoming mail and the subject line - plus the word 'Amended' (or similar) To Everyone on the users address list. So The message appears to come from a recognised source, with a believable subject line. This virus (afaik) only affects contributors to the Gates fortune - mainly Outlook Express & possibly Outlook '98 Rootsweb - as you all know - does not distribute attachments, so you can rest easy knowing that it has not come from the list. Hope this clarifies things Regards from the UK Dave (Occasional Computer Whiz) Rossiter
