    3. I have been observing the postings real close. While the older members know to post their source a lot of the newer members don't. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with speculation but if you are going to post the data as your direct line, you also need to include the source of the data that proves it. Unless the source is posted, it is mere speculation and guess work. If you don't want to do that much typing then put at bottom sources available on request. Never accept what you pick up on a list as the gospel, always prove it out by obtaining a photocopy or printout of the document or the document its self. It will sure cut down on the wild goose chases and hitting dead ends. "Twinkles" email address may be a source but not documentation that proves the line. And in order to claim direct descent you must prove the line with birth certificates, marriage licenses, death certificates, bible records, wills and etc. (letters, announcements, census, directories) In the future, a lot of you will want to join a group like DAR or the like, and without this documentation you will be rejected. Or you may want to write a book, no documentation means no sales. So please include your source so that others may obtain the documents necessary to prove the line. Class over. 8*) Barbie
