Is anyone else researching John BUSBY who married Mary HUCKVALE Aug. 18, 1766 in Chipping Norton, Oxford, England? What I'm writing here may or may not be true. I am looking for people who can verify or disprove any of this information, please. Their children were: William b June 9, 1767 John b. Sept. 17, 1769 Samuel b. Nov. 27, 1771 Richard b. Dec. 29, 1773 Mark b. Jul 31, 1776 Jonathan Oct. 31, 1778 Mary b. Mar. 8, 1782 Thomas Jul. 5, 1784 All were born in Chipping Norton and they were a Baptist family. The following may or may not be true of some of their children. I am trying to verify my information, so if any of you have additions or corrections, please contact me. 1. Mark BUSBY may be my ancestor if this is the correct Mark Busby who married Sophia MERRY 1817 in Great Tew, Oxford. Of their children, my gr gr grandfather Thomas & his brother Jonathan emigrated to America in 1853 and settled in Wisconsin. 2. Samuel BUSBY was said to have emigrated to America and settled in KY. No one seems to know who he married or when, but I have found children listed for him born from 1788 to 1799. Someone from this list submitted this information. If anyone knows the truth of this, please verify it. 3. William BUSBY married Rebecca HODGES in 1792 Bicester, Oxford according to an Ancestral file online LDS. If this is correct they had a son named John b. abt. 1800 Chipping Norton, Oxford who married Rose. John & Rose had children named John, Ann & Zipha. Those are the only 3 children of John and Mary I have seen information on. If anyone else is researching this family and has other information, please write to me. Thank you, Lonna
