Lonna, There is no proof or documentation that Balaam Buzbee was a son of Samuel. As a descendant of Balaam I have no proof of his parents. I have from a descendant of John BUSBY that this John was born in Ireland and I have his descendants. I can not speak for the other issue of Samuel as put forth by Lou Miles. I have asked for such proof for the issue of Samuel and am unable to acquire it. I have in the past on this site stated my disbelief that Balaam Buzbee was a son of Samuel. In the 1850 census of Adams Co. IL Balaam and family is found, here he states he is 60 and born SC.. One of his sons in the 1880 census states his father was born SC. Extensive research in SC has failed to find any mention of Balaam among the many Busby, Busbee, Buzby, Buzbee records there.
