In my records I have Samuel BUSBY b. Nov. 27, 1771 in Over Norton, Oxford England. He is a child of John BUSBY & Mary HUCKVALE. Someone on this list once posted they think this is the Samuel who immigrated to Campbell Co. KY, married an unknown wife and had several children there: Matthew, Balaam (this one is disputed), John, & James. Today when I was looking in the IGI online I found a Samuel BUSBY listed from Film #1903733, b. abt. 1762 in Campbell Co. KY. It doesn't list parents. I tried to search by the Film number only but couldn't get anything. It just occurred to me that this Samuel, if he is real and born in Campbell Co. KY, would acutually be a better candidate as the father of the children above than the Samuel born in Oxford, because the one from Oxford would have had his first child, Matthew, at age 17. I know this is possible, but the other Samuel would have been 26. Any ideas on this? Has someone found proof that the children above actually belong to the Samuel from Oxford? Does anyone have a book or record to show it was this Samuel who emigrated to KY from England? It is obvious to me there are two Samuel's here.....we just need to find which one had these children, or if some of them belong to each Samuel. Just wondering, Lonna
