While there is a chance that my Wilson-Nesmith-Woodall-Vest family might be connected to your Long ancestor thru a marriage, there could also be a connection to the Busby line if they happen to have come from VA or KY. It may turn out that there is no connection to either family but I always look at every possibility. Information about my Wilson line is in my reply to Gonzomeister but I would like to mention my Busby info just in case you and I can connect that way. If your Busby line connects in any way to a John Busby from Hampshire Co or Amherst Co VA or to a Matthew Busby from Adair Co KY, then we may have something to look at. Hello, I checked my Busby file for your names without success. Do you have birth and death dates for your John Busby? My maternal grandmother was Buelah Inez Busby Thrasher. She was the daughter of Jacob Nathan Busby and Margaret Pullig of Fairfield Co., SC. They moved to Bienville Parish, Louisiana sometime after 1870. Jacob Nathan Busby served in the Confederate Army from SC.
