I do love seeing other people searching for Wilsons but in this case I just can't see a connection of my paternal Wilson line to any in Ark; sure wish I could. As far as I know, there isn't any immediate family connection to an Isaac Wilson in my line though I wouldn't be surprised if some of them didn't go on to Ark. At the moment my search to find my Wilsons center on Walker Co GA and DeKalb/Morgan/Lawrence/and Jackson counties of AL ca 1840's forward. While there were also a lot of Wilsons in KY and TN, I haven't been able to determine if any of mine were there. As for my maternal Busby line, VA and KY are the places I first find them. I know there were lots of Busbys in SC in the 1700-1800's and I won't be surprised to find that my Busbys have a connection to them in some way, but so far I haven't found one. My John Busby (b ca 1747), wife Margaret Patterson, and baby daughter left Antrim Ireland and came to the U.S. ca 1766. They later settled in Hampshire Co VA and as far as I know, stayed there. He brought 3 brothers James, Robert and William with him and I'm thinking one or more of them might have gone on to SC at some later date. Wish I could have made a connection to the Wilsons and Busbys that you and Gail are seeking, but right now I just can't connect. I certainly wish you both much success in your search.
