My maternal grandmother, Beulah Inez Busby, descends from the Busby family who migrated from Virginia to North Carolina to South Carolina to Louisiana. I have made two trips to Fairfield and Richland Cos, South Carolin trying to learn about the family during the time period they lived there. Unfortunately many of the court house records were destroyed during the Civil War. Jacob Nathan Busby served in the Confederate Army from SC. He moved his family to Bienville Parish, LA a few years before his death. According to family history, he committed suicide.
