    1. Barbie, regarding James Busby
    2. Barbie: I talked to my father this evening and he gave me a little more information, but not much. James Busby, son of Elias Busby and Elizabeth (or Louise) Bone, was killed at Vicksburg. He had a son, James Busby Jr. who moved to Texas as a young man. According to my father, a man by the name of Cason disemboweled William Albert Busby (he lived) and his first cousin, James Jr., killed Cason. That's when James Jr. moved to Texas. My father recalls that one of James, Jr. female decendants lives or lived in Richardson TX because a relative here in Georgia kept in touch with her. According to my father, we are also related to some Busby's in Anderson, SC. At least one brother of Elias Busby settled there. Regarding Elias (not sure of spelling of Elias) Busby: There were nine boys in his family (siblings). They sailed from Glas. Scotland in 1839. They came through Charleston, S.C. He and his wife had 2 boys and three girls. He is buried in Paulding Co. GA. Regarding William Wesley Busby: He was my great-great grandfather. He had a brother, James (killed at Vicksburg) whose son, James, Jr. moved to Texas sometime around or before 1900. William Wesley also had three sisters, one married a Ragsdale, one a Parsons and one married a Clay. (My fathers recalls something about the sister who married the Clay having a son who became a U.S. Congressman - I haven't had a chance to verify this) W.W. was born in England. When he was 10 years old (1939), he sailed from Glascow, Scotland to Charleston, S.C. Injured in Civil War at Battle of Resaca, Georgia in 1864.. Lived in Milner Ga. for two years before moving to Marthasville (Atlanta). He was a preacher. 1st Lt. Co. F 40 Regt. Ga Inf. 3. They were in Walker County, Cullman County, or Blount County. The counties changed. This is what I have: Linda Jane Busbee was born at Arkadelphia, Alabama . She married William Isaiah Allen who died November 1863 in the Civil War at Lookout Mountain. He was born Mississippi Territory 1839. They had two children - James (Jim) Marion Allen b. 1861 and Mary Elizabeth Allen b. 1862 Linda Jane Busbee had a nervous break down after William Isaiah Allen died. Some of her people came and got her. The children remained with the Allen family and it seems that they never saw their mother again. Any help would be much appreciated. 1. Re: Robert Busby---Humphries Co. Tennessee 1820
    2. Hello All! As most of you are aware, I am looking for the parents and siblings of Henrietta Busby. Per census records, she was born in TN around 1812. In Aug 1830 (Madison Co. TN) she married Allen Bethune. Robert Busby helped provide the bond for the marriage. The only other record I have found of a Busby in Madison Co. was Micajah Jr. He was married in the same county about 6 mos. before Henrietta. I have spoken with several of Micajah's descendants who have researched the family. They were fairly certain Henrietta was not part of their family. Today I found that there was a Robert Busby on the Humphries Co. TN. Census in 1820. He had 5 females under the age of 10. I'm hoping one of these might be my Henrietta. Does anyone have any more information on Robert Busby? I have lots of information on Henrietta's descendants and would be happy to share with anyone interested in this family. Thank you! Pam Bethune
