Hello All, I have just been in the Lawrence County, TN library. They have a book all about Stephanus Busby, by a Robert Allgood, I think. I wonder if anyone knows how a person such as myself could get a copy of this book? Just Wonderin', Jan F. Firtion
Charles, Do you know your William's parents names? There are so many Busby (& variant spellings) all from the Lexington/ Orangeburgh/Aiken area and it is hard to see how they are all related. They settled in three counties: Houston, Bibb & Crawford. But as the crow flys, very close to each other. My ancestor is William Reese Busby born c 1775-1785 in SC and in Crawford - Bibb County by 1824, still in Lexington County on the 1820 census. Wouldn't it be fun to see how they are related?? Any ideas? Kathy, Have you been in touch with Joyce Fuller in Florida? It seemed that one time she told me that the John W. in Leah's house hold was one of hers. She just did not know who Leah had married. She had a state census and the William J. was William Jasper on the state census and I always thought that Leah's husband may have been a brother to My Seaborn Buzzbee because that names in the family were so similar. My Seaborn named his first son William Jasper. Marilyn
Kathy, was there any information on any other Busby`s there?? Thanks sandra -----Original Message----- >Can anybody connect a William Buzby m. To: Whoever was looking for info on Milack (Miles) Busby b. 1780, and Micajah (Cajer) Busby I have a list of siblings of my ggrandfather, Burrell Busby, who was a son of Milack (Miles or Cougar) Busby, who was the son of Micajah (Cajer) Busby, but I do not show Stephen Busby as a sibling. Could he have also been called Shelton? Shelton was born in 1844, according to my info. This sounds like the same person. If I can provide the names of the others in the family, maybe it will help. ----- Original Message ----- From: <LADMEAD@aol.com> To: <BUSBY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 08, 1999 6:18 PM Subject: Fwd: [Fwd: Fw: DEFINITIONS BY GENDER] > > --part1_6b8a6f74.24b6a7f0_boundary > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > > > > --part1_6b8a6f74.24b6a7f0_boundary > Content-Type: message/rfc822 > Content-Disposition: inline > > Return-Path: <JoeCasey1@netscape.net> > Received: from rly-zc05.mx.aol.com (rly-zc05.mail.aol.com [172.31.33.5]) by > air-zc01.mail.aol.com (v59.55) with SMTP; Wed, 07 Jul 1999 23:00:27 > -0400 > Received: from www0d.netaddress.usa.net (www0d.netaddress.usa.net > [204.68.24.33]) by rly-zc05.mx.aol.com (vx) with SMTP; Wed, 07 Jul > 1999 23:00:13 -0400 > Received: (qmail 13188 invoked by uid 60001); 8 Jul 1999 02:31:58 -0000 > Message-ID: <19990708023158.13187.qmail@www0d.netaddress.usa.net> > Received: from 204.68.24.33 by www0d via web-mailer() on Thu Jul 8 02:31:58 > GMT 1999 > Date: 7 Jul 99 19:31:58 PDT > From: Joe Casey <JoeCasey1@netscape.net> > To: LADMEAD@aol.com > Subject: Re: [Fwd: Fw: DEFINITIONS BY GENDER] > X-Mailer: USANET web-mailer () > Mime-Version: 1.0 > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > LADMEAD@aol.com wrote: > =20 > > > ---------------------------------------------=20 > >=09Attachment:=A0Forwarded Message=20 > >=09MIME Type:=A0message/rfc822=20 > >Hi Kid > Got the messsage I'm gonna start on this stuff now can't do it all one day b= > ut > its a start anyway. This is a long shot, but I am looking for the grave of John William Busby d. 1905 in either Brownsville, Texas, Memphis TN or Hernando, MS. Family history is that he has a Woodmen of the World totem grave marker, but we can't find where he died! John William was born 1873 in Desoto County, Mississippi, married Katie May White. The Woodmen confirmed he joined in 1899 in Memphis and died in 1905.
Searching for ancestors of James A. Busby, b. 1835 in either NC or Alabama (census reports both in different years), d. 1901 in DeSoto County, MS. James married Penny Council in DeSoto County. Had 3 children: John William Busby (1873-1905), Ida Carrie Busby who married M. W. Craven in DeSoto County, and William O. Busby. James served in the CSA 44th Mississippi Infantry . . . Barb just posted a photo of his grave marker on the Busby home page. Frank Hoban
I am looking for any information on Vernon Edward Busby or Busbee nickname Fred. The spelling was Busbee on my mother's birth record but later changed to Busby. He was born November 24,1903 in Florala, Alabama. He is my grandfather and I know nothing about his parents just that Coffee Co, Dorcus, Laurel Hill was some of the places he lived around 1920's. Thanks, Joyce
