    2. Valeria, Seaborn's parents are:John Busby and Eveline Sims! I live in oklahoma and yes, there are some of the Busby line here that is around Konowa and Shawnee. One of the cousins from their line lives with my brother, daughter and myself now. My greatgrandparents are John Busby and Hannah Surratt.Eveline died, then John remarried and this is where my greatgrandmother was born to. John and Eveline are buried in Grant Mountain,Alabama,Hannah is buried at Towncreek cemetery in Chavies,Alabama. A few years ago,at a church in alabama,I met some of John & Eveline's family, they were very sweet people and outgoing.I enjoyed being with them. Hope this helps you some,I don't know alot on our line, some things I do. Glenda

    3. Joyce, My grandpa was William A. Busby. He had several uncles. I only know three of their names. Are you ready? Henry, John, Vollie and there were about four or five more that I have yet to find. Also, he had at least two aunts. Annie (Busby) Moore and Gabe (Busby) Rader. From all the accounts I have so far, I believe they were born or at least lived most of their lives in Kentucky. With the exception of my grandpa and great grandpa David Taylor Busby, who homesteaded north of Lyons Indiana with Will and his brother Charles. 3. Glenda and Kathy, Do you know anything about your Seaborn's parents? My husband has a Great, GreatGrandfather named Seaborn W. (or W. Seaborn) Buzzbee from SC. He and his family lived in MS, GA, AR, and I heard some went to OK and TX. Note, this family has changed the spelling of the surname from Buzzbee to Busbee and to Busby. Any help with this is appreciated. I will be glad to send you personally my husband's file, or you can find it at http://www.ancestry.com Valeria M. 2. There was a Jeremiah Busby in Wayne Co.,MS with quite a large family (descendants)in the 1800's and even now today.. This family is well documented to a point by the Wayne Co.,MS Library in Waynesboro, MS in their Family pages. You might also check with the Wayne Co. Genealogical Organization, 712 Wayne St.,Waynesboro, MS 39362

    2. I have purchased a book called Marriage & Death Notices From Columbia, SC, Newspapers, 1792-1839 (by Brent H Holcomb) Unfortunately, there weren't any of my Busby's to be found, but I thought I would send this out in case anyone out there could use it. Also, I'd be happy to look up any other names if anyone should be interested. Deanna >From The Telescope, Issue of Dec 6,1833. 2. Check this site out. This is too much of a coincidence. This site has a George Washington Busby. It also has a Lillie Mae Busby (my great aunt) b. in TX (My Lillie Mae is a daughter of Seaborn B. Busbee m. Minnie Lee Joiner of Crawford County, GA. George Washington Busby is also a son of Seaborn B. Busbee & Minnie Lee Joiner. Seaborn B. Busby that married 1st to Sarah W(?) had a son named Cloy. This site also has a child name Charles Cloy. Maybe Seaborn Busbee m. Nancy Dorsey Reeves father is Jacob Busby in SC. Let me know what you think. 3. This is great, do you have Reese marrying Mary Winn? but do to a dispute and some records I have Reese must have been married before for it states that Mary was Allen`s stepmother, I`m doing this from memory about Allen not the stepmother. I decend from Charity Busby that married Phillip Scofield, and my other ggg-grandmother is Lillian Busby who married John Johnson we`re 99 percent sure she is Reese`s daughter also but we don`t have the proof that we do on Charity we have a land record with John Johnson and Nimrod Jackson [his wife was Elizabeth Busby] buying land from the decendents of Reese Busby. my line is from Reese to Charity to her daughter Charity, Frances Elizabeth, Edgar Johnson, Margaret then me{:> I would really like to work with you on this, there are several of us cousins out here.
