Carolyn, please send me a picture of your Grandfather Will so that I may compare it to the one I have of my grandfather as he had a half brother named William and my Mother visited him when she was a little girl ....just searching any link. God Bless you and yours, Joyce
Hi Dave, I am sure there is someone out there who can help you get started. I do recall a time when my mom came to visit me in Winston County Ms and remarked that there were a lot of Busby's in the telephone directory. Maybe you could "hook up" with someone in the area you need and get them to look at the local library or courthouse and you could do the same. Of course no one can guarantee they will find the information you are looking for but it is worth a try. I actually enjoy looking at old entry's. I don't want to do it full time, but time permitting, I have access to the Greene County Indiana courthouse and library. I am going way out on a limb here, but, I will try to find any records available for anyone who asks. Just not all at once. haha. Thanks. Carolyn
Thank you so much Carlyn roe youe return. I will try next week to go to pike co. Thanksagain. If I wind something I will get it to you. Dave ^i^
Hello Buzzies, Well, that's what my kids called my grandma. Grandma Buzzie. I had been under the impression that my Great Grandfather came to Indiana with my Grandpa when he was a boy. Not. My Great Great Grandpa James came north from Kentucky when ggrandpa David was a boy. They traveled in a covered wagon and encountered Indian parties along the way. Marriage records show Eliza (Harp) as David's mother. I think David gave up after three marriages. It appears that he lost all three to complications related to childbirth. Ida (Simmons) his first d. ca May 2, 1887, Matilda (Pirtle) came second, and Flora Jane (Keller) was the last. I found a "new" sister for David, her name is Amy. David had two boys, Charles E. Busby was from David and Matilda and William A. was from David and Flora Jane. William A. married Blanche (Burnette) and Charles E. married Ida E. Cassner. Please note that Charles lists his residence as Terre Haute, Indiana and Ida lists Mineral City, Indiana. Now that I have put everyone to sleep, I will go. Until later, Carolyn

Linda, Do you have any information about Emma's siblings? Could she have had a brother named David? I await your answer. Do you know where she is buried in Greene County? I will gladly take a picture of it and scan it to you. Carolyn
Annette, Do you have any information on John's siblings? I am descended from Isaac Busby. I believe his mothers name to be Nancy ______ she was born in Maryland in 1777. Isaac was born in KYas were his children. I would believe this may be a relative. I had been told to look for Biblical names in the family. Your line seems to have many. Thanks Nancy Hagen Annette Maxwell Pacilio wrote: > I descend from John Busby who died in Baltimore County, MD in May, 1791; > his wife's name was Edith _________ (d.
