    3. My BUSBY branch in the USA came from Thomas BUSBY b. 1828 in Stow, Huntingdonshire, England. His wife was Mary KNIGHT b. 1837 in Newton, Huntingdonshire. There were married in 1853 and emigrated to America that same year, along with Thomas's brother, Jonathan BUSBY. They ended up buying land and farming near Arcadia, Wisconsin, and their son, Thomas, my grandfather, bought land and farmed near Wakefield, Nebraska. I recently found out through searching IGI records online that Thomas's parents were Mark BUSBY and Sophia MERRY, married 1817 at Great Tew, Oxford, England. Through the IGI I also found out my BUSBY's were Baptist. Mark and Sophia's children's births were registered at Baptist, Spaldwick, Huntingdon, Eng. The children's names were: Eliza b 1821 Miriam b 1824 Mark b 1826 Thomas b 1828 Jonathan b 1831 William b 1836 John b 1837 In another IGI batch record I found their father, Mark BUSBY listed as a child of John BUSBY and Mary HUCKVALE, whose births were registered at Particular Baptist, Chipping Norton, Oxford England. These children were: William b. 1767 John b. 1769 Samuel b. 1771 Richard b. 1773 Mark b. 1776 Jonathan b. 1778 Mary b. 1782 Thomas b. 1784 If you think you are related to any of these BUSBY's please let me know. I have the batch record numbers and census information on some of them from 1841 and 1851 in England. We take my mother and visit with our Lovelace/Busby side. My aunt Chink ( Lethea) is the last of Minnie Roselee Lovelace's' children. She is 81 and still very active. She has a fishing camp on the Pearl River near Angie, La. where we all meet for great food and lots of love. We build a very large fire and sit around while my brother and others sing the night away on Wednesday. It is so nice, the fire and the river in the back ground. No TV!!! Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving and Love to all, Even the so called Judge??? Jo Anne, Riverdale, Ga. --part1_0.f5ec6928.2561c231_boundary--

    3. Can anyone help me with this: Linda Jane Busbee was born at Arkadelphia, Alabama. She married William Isaiah Allen who died November 1863 in the Civil War at Lookout Mountain. He was born Mississippi Territory 1839. They had two children - James (Jim) Marion Allen b. 1861 and Mary Elizabeth Allen b. 1862 Linda Jane Busbee had a nervous break down after William Isaiah Allen died. Some of her people came and got her. The children remained with the Allen family and it seems that they never saw their mother again. 3. Thanks Earl for the post about it being a hoax. There are soooo many hoaxes out there. Whenever I get a virus alert from anyone I always check it out and wish they would have before they sent it on unchecked. The site I use is quite interesting and I imagine some of you use it too. I also wish others would clean up the message when sending it out without all the junk from every other person who's passed it on and all those >>>>>>>'s. That sounded grumpy but I didn't mean it that way. Just a wish. http://urbanlegends.about.com/culture/beliefs/urbanlegends/index.htm?COB=hom e&PID=2733 Blessings, Jeannie Williams If you are further from God today than yesterday, who moved? -----Original Message----- From: cj <earle@ncci.net> To: BUSBY-L@rootsweb.com <BUSBY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, November 11, 1999 5:54 AM Subject: Fw: Virus alert! >There you have it guys, as usual, don't believe everything you read.
