Hi Bubsy's Just was wondering with all that Busby searching out there has anyone came across a Silas Tilman Bubsy. He came from SC,he was born on March 3 1834 Died on March 4 1901 .He was Scottish Descent. Silas ended up in Ok. territory and had been married 3 times that I can tell. He was to believed to be buried in a small cemetery in Ks. just across from the Ok. border but haven't found anything as of yet. His children are as follows. Mother of Thomas was Pearlina ? Thomas Jefferson Busby B 1/11/1858 D 4/41944 in Nowata Ok. buried in Talala Ok. Mother of Cynthia was Mary Melton Cynthia Ann Busby Reed Maynard B 9/27/1874 Indian Territory/ Caney Ks. D 1/11/1959 Nowata Ok Mother of John and Ben is, I think Sarah Elizabeth Dean Maynard Busby ? She had 13 kids on the Maynard side and was around the early 50's when John and Ben were born John Tilman Bubsy B 10/22/1893 D 9/13/1960 In Guthrie ok. buried in Nowata Ok. Benjamin Tilman Bubsy B 2/27/1897 D 12 of 1979 buried in Longton Ks. My line of Busby's came from Oxfordshire, then Huntingdonshire, England. My gr grandfather, Thomas Busby, and his wife and brother, Jonathan, came to America in 1853. They settled in Wisconsin, but Thomas and several of his sons ended up on farms in Nebraska, near Wakefield. However, Jonathan Busby stayed in Wisconsin. I don't know where all of Jonathan's sons and grandsons ended up though.... I really would like to find this line of the family. Oddly enough I might have a few questions. Guess what, my grandmother was a Burnett. How's that for small world. :) I was told that my Busby's came from Meade County Kentucky but I am open to any and all suggestions. I know my great great grandfather was James Busby. I know he was married to an Eliza either Harp or Heath. My guess is Harp. Don't have a clue where he was born. I know he came to Indiana twice, obviously he stayed the second trip. The first trip up he went to Owen County. The last trip, he settled north of Lyons in Greene County. I have been given to understand that I have relatives in Kentucky. It would be nice to find some living ones for a change. haha. Jim & Gaila, Sorry about the tardy response, BUT I've just had the pleasure or recovering from the latest strain of the FLU. As I stated in my original response I only have information regarding Elisha and Elizabeth GUNTER BUSBEE. Their children: 1. Frederick (my line) 2. daughter 3. William H. These folk all migrated from the Lexington/Orangeburgh Dist. of SC in the mid to late 1820"s. They went to Crawford Co. GA where they resided for awhile. I too noticed that one William Reese BUSBEE resided near these folk. I have also wondered about the relationship. Seems they have been close to one another all the back to SC. After they got bored of GA the moved on to Coffee Co. AL and again resided there for awhile, finally ending up in Walloon Co. FL. I have been trying to link up my Elite with Benjamin and Ferryby (Ferraby) BUSBEE of SC. Something tells me they are related but just can't seem to make it work. If anyone out there would like to have more information regarding Elisha and Elizabeth GUNTER BUSBEE and their decendants or who would be willing to help me with their ancestors, please contact me. I found the following information on Buzbees and thought it might be helpful to someone. I also have some cemetery listings I will send later. LaJuana Lucinda Cates Stewart married the second time, James H. BUZBEE, born in Alabama. In 1893 they went to live in Oklahoma. Known children and spouses were: Sarah Hallie Buzbee, married James Edward Sutherland. Rebecca "Becky" Buzbee, married ____________________Farrel. John C. "Bud" Buzbee Della Buzbee, married Nathan M.
