Lonna, No, I have nothing on Samuel, just what Lou Miles has stated and sent me. If you will note that the children of Samuel were all born in Campbell Co. KY, except of course Balaam, born SC.. Campbell Co. wasn't formed until 1799. The John Busby b. 1792 was really born 16 Sep 1799 Ireland, he married 17 Oct 1822, possibly in PA to Julina Bidwell, b.3 Sep 1803 NY. John and his family are in Boone Co. KY about the same time as Balaam Buzbee(Balaam signed his BUZBEE). No family connection can be found with this John. Balaam and his descendants never named a son Samuel. The information on John and Julina Busby comes from a direct descendant of these two. I have other questions about Samuel Busby: Who did he marry and when? Did he marry in England and he and his wife emigrate together? Lou's submission shows all of Samuel's children were born in the USA starting in 1788, which would have made Samuel a 17 year old father. I tried looking in the IGI online for Samuel's marriage. A Sam Busby married Elizabeth Castle in 1810 Hook Norton, Oxford, batch number 7250002. This was the only Samuel Busby in Oxford listed with a date that could match in the right time frame at all. If Samuel's children were indeed the ones listed by Lou, then he was a young father indeed, and the question still remains, who was the mother of these children? Lonna

On the January 1809 census for Madison Co.,AL there is a Benjamin Busby which shows 2 males over 21; 3 females under 21 and one female over 21. Perhaps this is the father of Richard A. Busby which Bernie Morgan is seeking.

Charles, As a descendant of Balaam BUZBEE there is no proof that his father was Samuel!.. If you have documentation I would love to see it. Lew Miles has put forth this theory.
