Would like to connect with anyone who can provide information on Permelia/Pamelia (Busby?) Fitzpatrick Winfrey and James Fitzprtrick, of Adair Co KY. She was mentioned in Matthew Busby's 1850 Adair County, KY land deeds. The deeds show Permelia Fitzpatrick as widow of James Fitzpatrick. Can find nothing to indicate she is Matthew's child except for her name on Matthew's deeds. Her name is shown as PAMELIA Fitzpatrick and her age is given as 23 on the 1850 Adair Co, KY census. This census date would suggest her birth year to be ca 1827 and would eliminate Matthew's 1st wife,Saluda, as being her mother. In my opinion she is the d/o Matthew and Sarah "Sallie" Drake Winfrey, Matthew's 2nd wife. She is shown living in HH#545, the home of William Jackson Drake and wife, Nancy (nee Busby) Drake. If Permelia/Pamelia is Matthew's daughter, Nancy would be her half sister. One reason she might be living in William and Nancy's home is that as the daughter of Matthew and Sallie, she would be a cousin to William Jackson Drake since Sarah "Sallie" Drake Winfrey Busby was his aunt. Another reason could be that she is a widow at age 23 and might need a place to live. Agnes Drake Christenson, sister to Sarah "Sallie" Drake Winfrey Busby, named one of her daughters, Permelia. Joseph Winfrey and Permelia Fitzpatrick married 15 Jun 1853 Carroll Co Mo. Permelia dies by 1860 and Joseph is a widower with a daughter, Nancy P Winfrey. Can anyone offer any other information on the above mentioned people?

Married Bertha Anderson and they had 3 sons, William Lavern, Leroy, & Duane. He and Bertha divorced and he moved to Alaska. He also lived in California and Arizona. He was originally from Wisconsin. I heard he remarried, but I don't know to whom. Does this sound like your William Henry? If so let me know and I can get more info for you. The Eighty-First Hanging Fort Smith, Arkansas, April 27 - Shepard Busby was hanged in the United States Jail her today for the murder of Deputy Marshal Barney Donnelly in the Indian Territory last year. He talked for a half hour on the scaffold making out a case of self-defense. The old hangman, Maledon, who has hanged his four score men from the same beam, did not execute Busby on account of an old friendship between them.
