Hi, I have Brotherskeeper and I am trying to get the Gedcom file from a friend of mine on the Murphree family. Could I load the Gedcom file for the Busby's into my Murphree file? Not real good at this Gene yet! Your Busby page is great. My Mom was Glennie Lola Busby born in Batesville, MS on 6 July 1913. Thanks so very much. Let me know what I can do. Thanks, James F Murphree
Carolyn, Must be your browser. It may need to have the index.html filename at the end. Most look for that file automatically. My James McCoy married Jane Busby, both of Lawrence Co, TN. I have a Valentine also, son of James W. Valentine born 1854 MS. Just wondering how many other Valentines there are out there male or female. There is also a Gabe (male) listed in Mississippi about 1820. These are not common given names for the Busbys. For all you new members, the data I post is not my lines. If you wish to see mine, they are on the homepages under Descendants of James William Busbee. I have an extensive library of Busby/Busbee data that I share with everyone. Too make it easy on everyone I rarely post my line to the list. I have a separate mailing list for that. I have over 500 emails sitting in my Busby box and as I can get to them will be posting what data I can find on them as well as to the homepages. FYI, I am stuck at James W. 1810 GA-1902 MS (Desoto County). So I am still gathering raw data in my chase to find him. So please keep checking the Homepages, I have already started adding to them. Barbie
I am still looking for the birthplaces of James and Eliza (Could be Elizabeth) Busby. Although I do not have hard copy records, a cousin has given me the following names, places and dates of birth: Hector b.1839 KY Valentine (male called Volley) b. 1841 IN John F. b.1847 IN Henry Charles or Charles Henry b. 1849 IN died 8/11/1911 Susan Elizabeth b.03/31/1853 KY Gabriella (female went by Gabe) b.1859 KY (Married name Rader) David b. 8/3/1861 KY Anne b.1862 KY (Married name Moore) It would be so nice to find someone else who knows any of these names. Looking for gr uncles Levi, Daniel, and William Busby who had sisters Georgette and (Nancy)? Josephine Busby. Georgette married a Cannady, and Josephine married Samuel Edmondson. Josephine and Sam are my grgrandparents. They had my grandma in Lauderdale Co.Ala. 1888, and at least one daughter in Waterloo,Ala. after that.
