    3. Hi Lee and list, The reference below (Saluda) reminded me there is a Saluda Hill and Saluda cemetery just north of Spanish Fort, Alabama (just east of Mobile, Alabama) that overlooks a valley. I wonder if someone from the Saluda, S.C. area came, saw it, and it reminded them of home??? Or, was someone named Saluda and named it? 3. Here is an assignment: If you could have ONE of your Busby ancestors - one you never met - for a family feast sometime this month, which ancestor would you invite? What would you hope to hear about? Later in the month - these items will be your homework: During Christmas get togethers, at Christmas Dinner and on your Christmas Cards and ask Who has old photos? Will they share so you can make a copy? Who can remember an Old story? or tradition? Where did the family Bible go? Instead of arguing about policitics over Turkey dinner, perhaps you can get some stories going about Christmases past. In January, the Busby list will want to hear your reports. The Holidays are a time to connect and I hope you are enjoying the lead up to Christmas. But do your homework!! Gaila

    3. I don't know any personally, but my gr-gr-grandfather, James C Busby sold 2 acres to an Ivy in Fayette Co., Tx in the late 1800's. That property is still owned by Ivy's. Also there was an Ivy in some sort of official position in many of the old documents we have found from 1858 to 1923 Also according to one of the cousins, there have always been an Ivy connection around the group of Busbys who moved from Fayette Co., Tx to Bell Co., Tx in 1940. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Jerry L.
