I haven't found out much more, any more, really about Mary Adelia Burris who married Thomas Leroy Latta, and who both taught school in Calais and other towns around Monroe Co. I did find on one of her class souvenirs that listed the board of education 1899-1900 school year: J.L. BURRIS. Do you (or any one at all out there) know anything about J.L. If he was on the school board, there should be something known about him.
