Burrice who married Jula E. Hughes(Julia?) in 1895 in Monroe county Tennessee to other Burris families of that area. Charles M. Burris was born in about 1848 in North Carolina. He died in 1914 and is buried on Bullet Creek in Monroe County, Tennessee. I believe Charles M. Burris was married twice, initially to Nancy Winchester in North Carolina in about 1865 and later to Julia Hughes in Tennessee.He had families by both women- the marriage to Nancy Winchester produced eight offspring- Mary E., James W., Margret P., Henry C., Francis M., Sarah, Rachel, and Albert. He and Julia Hughes also had several children, William A., Walter, Elijah, Henry,Ples, Annie,Rachel, and Sam. I believe that Charles had a brother Jame Burris who was born in 1836 in NC and also appears to have married Caroline Hughes in about 1890. The time and place of death is unknown.
