Hello- I'm trying to obtain a marriage record for my 3rd gr, grandparents, John C. Burch and Mary Burris (Burroughs).  They were married in Meriwether Co. GA on 15 Dec 1842.  I called the Meriwether Co. GA probate court to see if the record was available.  Though they said the record was "most likely" available, I was told they didn't have the staff to do genealogical research, however, someone could come to the courthouse and locate and copy the record themselves.
