William Burris was born 1805 supposedly in Virginia and married Catherine Trout 1826 in Bellaire, Belmont county, Ohio. The father of William was James Burris and the Father of Catherine was John Trout. . I do not know who the siblings of William were and I don't know anything about James except the listing on the marriage record of William & Catherine. Sarah Burris (my Great Grandmother), daughter of William & Catherine was born 1828. My Grandfather Sylvester was born September, 1852 in Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio. I do not know who his father was. Sarah was unmarried at the time of his birth and also had a daughter named Tressa (Tryessa) older than Sylvester. . Sarah had 8 brothers and sisters, Margaret (m John Morton); Sylvester (m. Margaret A. Hi Betty, I have not found any of that information and have searched diligently for information on this family. I had wondered if they went to Iowa and that is who my Grandfather lived with until he married Eliza Robinson in Tama City, Tama County, Iowa in 1878. I can't find any record of that though.
