I'm trying to locate information on my 4th gr, grandfather, Joshua Burris (Burroughs and other various spellings) born 1800. Married Mary Barnhill July, 1822 in Cumberland Co. NC. By 1840 they are in Meriwether Co. GA where their daughter, Mary Ann married John C. Burch. In the 1850 census they moved to Randolph Co. AL. Mary Barnhill's mother was also named Mary. The two are listed in the 1870 Randolph Co. census where Mary Barnhill Burroughs is 85 years old and her mother Mary is 105! Any information would help. Thank you. Kathy California
