His mother was Susan Riggs also washington co.. They both died in Galveston Co. they had 7 childred, andrew, olney, benjamin franklin, elizabeth, lavinga, harriet & adaline. Benjamin Burris' father was John Burris born around 1763 in virginia. he married ? they moved to washington co. ohio. first records are around 1820. 11 children, benjamin, van, swearingin,stancile, martin, john, david, martha, william nancy,and elizabeth. 1850 census 2nd wife ellen (49) john burris 73 had a child named lovina. Benjamin Franklin Burris married Jane E. Johnson (mississippi) in 1846 in Helena, Texas Karnes County earlier called Goliad co. They had 11 (?) children. In the 1900 Lasalle Co. (Cotulla) census the have 7 children Lemuel F., John J., William G., Earl H. & Susan E. i haven't really gotten much further because i have been so very very busy for the last 3 years or so. but i am going to try to find a professional geneologist to take us back accross the pond and as far as i can get it.
