I have seen many pages on the internet that has James Burris married to Hannah Webb. There is no factual documentation that I know of presenting facts, depicting this could be true. In fact at one time I even considered this maybe was a possibility. I know longer feel James Burris was ever married to Hannah Webb. I have very little information for James Burris but this is what I know. James A Burris was born abt 1815 TN d unk m to Mary b abt 1815 IN d unk. James & Mary left Longfield Church Feb 1846. BURRESS Self M Male W 65 TN Farmer UNKNOWN UNKNOWN *** ***Mary BURRESS Wife M Female W 65 IN Keeps House NC NC *** As you can see from the census records James Burris was married to Mary (last name unknown). He was never married to Hannah Webb in my opinion. James Burris is not the father of my husband's gg/g/f Silas Burris b abt 1816 TN. The possibility exist, they maybe brothers, but at this time I have no proof!
