Hi Teresa....I have information on Stinson Burris of Ohio...exactly what information are you needing. I am descended from his brother John who was born in 1812. I also know another relative descended from Stinson who lives in John Burris's house that was built on the Ohio river in the late 1700's to early 1800's. Sally
Hi, I have tried to figure out how Zaccariah fits in with the Burris family I am searching information on. My Great Grandfather was William Burris of Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio and according to census Zachariah lived very close to them. William Burris was born 1805 in VA and he married Catherine Trout born 1803 in VA. The father of William is James Burris and Elizabeth unknown. Siblings of William is Anna, Mary, Benjamin, Maria, Margaret, Kizziah, Ruhama and Andrew. I wonder if Zachariah could have been a brother also or is he a brother to James? I have some information but not a lot. Sincerely, Mary jaburris wrote: It is my belief that Rebecca is in the line I am researching. I believe she had brothers James, John, Thomas and Zaccariah. Hi; Michelle is correct. I have many of the same records she does. Although I can not meet the needed standard of proof, yet, I believe that Benjamin was the son of a William the son of Edward Burroughs (Burrows). The information comes from a set of overlapping and confusing probate records from Kent and Sussex Co. Delaware. Also the 1850 Ohio Federal census for Belmont County. I think that Benjamin also had a brother William. And the elder William may have had a brother Benjamin. One of the Williams may have been killed about the time of the revolution circa 1783.
