I am researching my great grandmother Charity Charlotte Anglen/Anglin who married Josiah Sharick @ 1852 probably in Illinois. They settled in Dallas County, MO. I have no information on Charity's ancestry. I think she may be the daughter of Samuel Anglin. Charity was born @ 1831. She may have married a Kessinger prior to marrying Josiah Sharick. She supposedly had a brother Samuel and sister Lyle Anglen. Can you help me with other information. Leslie A. Woodbury

Hi again- Does anyone know of any data on the 1918 flu epidemic of US and World and how Hardin Co was hit?? My husband's g grandfather Walter Lee BURRIS d.21 Nov 1918 Hardin Co., KY of the fatal flu that happened that year. He may have been at Ft. Knox. All we know is he had helped build the Gold Repository there. His wife and children were in OK where they had lived. Any data on any of the above is appreciated. I am awaiting his death certificate copy which i hope is his as someone did find his name in the KY death index for me and i sent for it today. For now while waiting for that, i am still searching him and his family as much as i can. Hi- Just wondered if there is a KY death index online. W.L. BURRIS d.21 Nov 1918 KY and may have been in Hardin Co, but i am not sure. If i had the cert #, then it costs less to get copy of death record, right? His family was in OK and i cannot find any record there or where he is buried. HOWEVER you know how 'family hearsay' can lead one astray and i am wondering if Walter BURRIS helped build this Ft. Burris you mentioned. Did you find anymore out on it??? When was it supposed to have been built?? When did it burn down?? This is interesting if you find anything more on it. I still have no idea what Walter BURRIS parents names were or where they came from?? I have little on him before he married 5 Mar 1903 in Cumberland I.T. to Willie May ABLES. I also want to know where he died and is buried as he died of the flu epidemic of ca.1919.

I don't know if it was on this list or another Burris surname list, but I remember seeing something posted on Fort Burris some time ago. My great great grandfather was born in Ohio, but lived in Iowa for quite awhile--joined the 7th Iowa Volunteers.
