Hallo there I am researching my gggrandparents. Margaret Williamson, of Flowerburn, b ab 1844, father Alexander, mother Ann (nee Gollan) married: Christopher Burns b ab 1830, Sergeant of 12th Regiment of Foot, father John Burns dec blacksmith, at Rosemarkie on 21/1/1860. However, she also married John S Palmer in Sitapore, India in 1865 and they had my great grandmother, Elizabeth in 1867. I would like to know what happened to Christopher Burns. I would also like information on John Burns Snr and family, although I have not yet attempted to research this. I have a death cert for a Christopher Burns, a tailor journeyman, b ab 1831, who died in Edinburgh on 22/03/1864. This is free to anyone with proven interest.
