Burns and their children Robert, James, Alexander, Agnes, Isabella,Margaret, Jean, and Jeanette left Ballantrae, Scotland for the US in 1854. We know they farmed in the Ballantrae area (have rent receipts from Crailoch) prior to settling near Bloomfield, Ia. Ring any bells with anybody? J Sheppard
