Hello, This email came to me rather than to the list. Just a reminder, remember to send messages to [email protected] and not to [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------- Hello Everyone, My grandmother was Ellen Cecelia (Burns) Burke b. Ashland Pa.1873( Skuylkill Co.) m. Myles Burke her siblings were: Mary "Mame" m. James Doyle St. Leo's R.C. church Ashley Pa( Luzerne Co.) Michael Burns m. #1 Mary Ellen Benfield (Skuylkill) #2 Loretta Pringle ( Wisconsin) Margaretta Burns m. James O'Neill ( Married in Ashley both died in N.J.) Frances Burns m. Dr. George Beatty Their parents were : Ellen (Connelly) and Michael Burns m. 1863 St. Josephs R.C. church Ashland Pa. Both are buried in St Mary's cemetery Ashley. Michael was a civil war veteran. I have documentation for all of the above BUT I am trying to find info. about Patrick Burns. Patrick immigrated to Pottsville ( Skuylkill) from Belfast Ireland. I have his papers for intent to become a citizen. Date, 1848. I also have a very poor copy of his will. From Skuylkill Co. It states that he wanted to be buried in St. Josephs church cemetery. His wife's name was Ann, a daughter Ann Marie, a son Michael( who I THINK but have not proven is my great grandfather) and a nephew John Burns are named in the will. Sorry to have gone on so long with this but have been trying to connect with someone from the same family for years. If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. Blessings, Ellen
