Dear Genealogists, This is my first visit to the mailing list. I have an old Burns family in Lousiana (Assumption region) that I would love to find more about. In about 1800, John Burns married Sarah McWilliams (born in County Cork, Ireland in 1780). This couple had three children: Susan, Marie, and Willoughby (b. 1810). Willoughby married a canary islander named Marie Romero and they had about 14 children. I'm descended from this line. If any of this sounds familiar, I would love to correspond.
