Hi all, RootsWeb has announced that they will be down for planned maintenance beginning at 8 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on Friday, February 23 (4:00 PM GMT/UT on 02/23, 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time 02/23). The duration of the maintenance is expected to be about 24 hours or so. It is better to BE a good ancestor than to FIND one. Take a descendant to do something fun. Remind yourselves why you picked the persons you did to "be ancestors with." For the younger crowd, maybe even work on the "being ancestors" part <grin>. If that person is no longer with you, remember them as they were at their best. Forgive someone who needs it (everybody does). Telephone a friend that you haven't talked to in ages. Perform random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty. Sleep in. Write a letter-no, the other kind, ink on paper, that can be treasured for years. Take an *ancestor* to do something fun. For most of the suggested activities, please feel free to substitute aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, unrelated neighbors or friends, or people at the homeless shelter.
