I have a John born to Michael born 1738 I have a John born to Patrick abt. 1738 and a John born to Michael about 1739, John born to Mathais was born in either Baltimore or St Mary's Co. Maryland, (your best bet) I know John born to Patrick was born 1738 or before because he was listed in his grandfather's will. John born to Mathais about 1739 is has several brother, Mathais lived in Frederick Co. Maryland the last account I had of him he had several children Adam, Michael, Mathais II, William, Samuel, Andrew, Bartholomew, Catherine, Mary and Verlinda. Some of the places they lived didn't show up in my book because it only listed the place of birth and last account of family. Hope this helps. Dallas

My grandfather John Edward Burns was born in Maryland circa 1859. His father's name was also John, but I don't know anything about him. My grandfather's mother died at his childbirth and his father gave him to a family called the "Rabbits". I will have to find the papers that shows the County, I just know that it was close to Washington DC. There may be a connection here and I would like to pursue it. His father would probably have a birth date somewhere around what your talking about. Do you know if your "John" had another son born around 1859 named John Edward? I have hit brick wall getting past my grandfather. I don't even know if he had any brothers or sisters. Maybe there is a connection with your family as they were also from Maryland??? Keep in touch.
