It was great hearing from Mark and Jerry--sounds like we're all "stuck" in about the same time frame. I did want to mention to Mark that "my" John Burnes (Burns) b. 1807, Md., named his first child Robert C. Burns, so there is probably a very good chance that John and YOUR Robert were brothers. Do you know where Robert's children were born (in Ohio)? I have done a lot of looking in that state, can't believe how many Burns families were there in the first half of the l800's. I will have to look through all of my research this weekend to see if I can find out anything on Samuel. I haven't run across a lot of Samuel Burns' in Ohio. What did Isabella and Samuel name their children? They really kept names in the family back then. Of course, I'll keep you all posted about the BIble info. when I get it. Maybe if the lady who has it knew there were lots of us waiting for the information, she'd speed it up a little.
