I keep seeing a lot of questions asked about Burns families that "originated" in northeast Texas. I followed a line of Burnses in that section of Texas that went back to a Lard Burns who came from MO in the early 1800's as a preacher in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. I had the idea that he was a brother to my great great grandfather but apparently this was a wild goose chase for me. However, I have that information as well as the names & addresses of some of the researchers of his line. I have a feeling that some of the people with connections to Burns families in that area from Titus County over to Grayson County might make a connection. If somebody thinks this might be the case, I might have some information they could use.I could probably just provide the names of some other researchers I have found and let you take it from there.
