Mamie, Yes my Claud Burns was born in Texas, and when I found him on the 1920 census of Johnston County, Oklahoma, the info on it stated that Claud was born in Texas, as was both his parents. My Claud had a brother named Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Burns b. 1891 d.8/9/1953 and another brother Delbert b. 11/5/1896 d. 10/1964. There may have also been a sister, but that's not been confirmed yet. Cleve had a son named Otis called Odie, his wife Opal Burns is still alive and I've been told she has the orginial marriage certificate of Thomas Burns & Missouri Sue...so I will contact her and get the exact date. By the way I live in Oklahoma. Thanks for all your info. Thing is though---the Thomas Burns in the family I speak of was born in Alabama. Of course the info you have could possibly be a mistake, but it is something to consider!.
