Hi Jessy, My ggrandfather was William A. Burns. He married Paralee Aribell Hart in Hopkins County in 1879. His father was James Love Burns, who is buried in Stout Creek Cemetery in Hopkins County.James was born in Maury County, TN in 1829 went to Yallobusha County, MS and then on to Tippah County, MS where he married my gggrandmother, Rachel E. Miller. He and Rachel were in the 1860 census for Tippah County and then went to AR for a time before settling in Northeast, TX - Franklin County and Hopkins County. James was the son of Miles Burns. After James death, Rachel and some of her children moved to Indian Territory- Garvin County. She died there in 1907. There is a Robert Burns buried near her and other family members in the Old Purdy Cemetery. I have only one Roberts so far. A.J. Roberts who married my ggrandmother, Victoria Sheppard in Lamar County. They were divorced by 1880. She then married a man by the name of N.B. Reid. They had three children: Annie and Joe and Lucy "Lou", who wewre twins. At some point they started spelling the name - Reed. I do not know what happened to N.B. Reid - whether Victoria divorced him or he died - she then married a James Wilson. My grandfather, Arthur Hubert Reed, was born to her and A.J. Roberts. He always went by the name of Reed. Would love to solve the mysteries surround the Reid/Reed and Roberts connections. Phyllis
