    1. [BURNS-L] Anyone know these Burns?
    2. I guess it is time to throw in my Burns family. My great grandmother was Elizabeth Burns b.8-1876 d.1-31-1950 m. Galen McKinney Her siblings were Becky, Belle, and Harry Daniel Burns. She was b. in Pa., I do not know where. Her parents were: Daniel Burns m. Hetty Hains (Haines). He was born in Lanc. Co. Pa. At some point he went to Austin in Potter Co. to work in lumbering. Apparently he meet his wife there, or on the way as she was born in Emporium, Pa. They lost family members in a flood in Austin (I have no idea who), built a raft, and with the spring freshet floated down the Susquehanna River, landing in Whisler, below Lancaster. His father was: William Burns m. Rebecca Howett in Lancaster Co. Pa.. I have no dates for him, but his wife's dates are b.1809, d.1891. Their children were Walter, Harriet C.,Robert, Daniel, Henry, Clarkson & Elizabeth Miller. In the 1910 census I found my g. grandmother and her husband Galen had in their household an uncle, Robert Burns. It said he was born in Maryland. So I am assuming that my William and his brother were both born in Maryland. I have a clock that came from their home. I remember my Grandmother telling me they brought it to Lancaster in a covered wagon. I wish I would have thought to ask her from where. Does this sound like anyone's family? William is a dead end to me. I appreciate your taking the time to look at this. Yvonne
