    3. Hello, I am looking for the parents of my John Burns born Nov 4, 1788. (either NC or SC). According to his War of 1812 pension file he came to TN as a young lad. He was there by Oct. 24, 1811 when he married Margaret Wilson. He was married in Bedford Co. TN. All his children were born in Bedford Co. TN. He moved to Tippah Co. MS in 1835 and stayed there until 1837. He was the first Justice of Peace in Tippah Co. MS. He came to MO in Aug. 1837 where he lived until his death in 1863. His children are John Foster, William B., Robert W., Joseph M., Susannah Matilda, Sarah Malinda, Zaccedus Thomas Lafayette, and Elihu Dennis. These children were born from 1812 to 1832. They all came to MO with John and were married in MO. John's wife Margaret Wilson was born in Lincoln Co. GA. Please let me know if this fits into your family in anyway.
