George Burns died about April 1771 in Granville County, SC, now Edgefield County. His wife was Elizabeth; I think she was Elizabeth Heard. Land conveyance records prove three of George Burns's sons: George born between 1756 and 1771, Robert born before 1768, William born between 1766 and 1771. Birth dates from Edgefield SC census records. John Burns settled George Burns's estate. I believe John to be eldest son, but have no proof. John married Agnes "Nancy" Walker who was born between 1784 and 1794. Nancy's second husband was William Burgess. I have more about this family, and am happy to share. Carol
