I am a new member of this list and would like to submit my Burns line. My Bourne/Burns family possibly originated in County Mayo. Thomas BOURNE b. abt 1785 in Roscommon Ireland d. 1847 in Leeds Co., Ontario m. Mary McKenzie. Apparently their was some sort of family feud and the Bourne family members who moved to Western Ontario kept the name Bourne and those who remained in Leeds County changed their name to BURNS. Their children were: 1. William BOURNE b. 1813 in Ireland d. 1890 at Wallaceburg, Ont. 2. Thomas (BOURNE) BURNS b. 1815 in Ireland d. 1896 in Leeds Co., Ont. 3. Fanny (BOURNE) BURNS b. 1820 in Ireland d. 23 May 1896 in Leeds Co., Ont. married ?? Morrison 4. Maria (BOURNE) BURNS b. abt 1823 in Ireland d. 30 Oct 1906 Michigan. married Valentine KENNY. 5. Elias BOURNE b. 1827 in Ireland d. 1907 Crosswell, Michigan while visiting his daughter. buried at Alvinston, Ont Cemetery. 6. Lloyd Malloy (BOURNE) BURNS b. 6 July 1836 Manchester, England d. 13 Feb 1922 Ontario, Canada. 7. Ellen BOURNE b. ?? near Newboyne, Ont. (near Smiths Falls) d. 1 Aug 1894 in Michigan. married ??
